Teaching the Jump Set
Watch as Coach Jim Stone explains, and Lauren Carlini demonstrates jump setting. Coach will talk about the proper starting position (back to the net), footwork patterns (including a hop), and the importance of setter rhythm. Ball contact above the forehead and full extension to target are key. The same mechanics apply to the backset. Coach will also touch on a few keys relative to the setter attack.
